Common Dental Treatments

Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of Porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail. Veneers can be a great solution to improve colour or shape, repair a broken tooth, or filling gaps when orthodontics (braces) are not suitable. A precise shade of porcelain can be chosen for the perfect colour. Multiple veneers can be used, often as a set to lighten the front teeth.

Crowns

A crown is simply an artificial restoration that snugly fits over the remaining part of a broken-down tooth offering support and a cosmetic improvement to the look or contour of teeth. They are sometimes called a cap.

Bridges

Asif Mughal

He has worked in many practices over his career, providing him with a detailed insight into clinical dentistry working alongside numerous specialists. He enjoys all aspects of cosmetic and restorative dentistry and has attended numerous courses in Aesthetic dentistry in the UK as well as America (Chicago Dental Conference). Asif is fully committed to ongoing professional development in order to provide his patients with high standards of dental care and a wide range of dental services. He currently has the responsible role as the clinical director within the practice focusing his time on maintaining and driving standards higher for the benefit of our patients. Marta completed a two-year part-time combined hands-on and theory course in restorative dentistry (2014-2016). She obtained her Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from The British Academy of Restorative Dentistry in 2018.

Since then, she has started a Master’s Degree in Endodontology; and as of 2017 Marta has been working on an in-vitro research project and her completion is anticipated to be in 2019.
